Well had lasik with wavefront on Thursday, regret every moment of it like crazy.
1) doc lied 2x to us about my partner being able to be with me during surgery
2) did sugery with me not numb, I told them I was not numb and they blew me off-I cant even start to tell you how bad it hurt and still hurts
3) told me I would have a harder time becouse my eyes are smaller, but said i would not have black eyes etc. Guess what 2 black eyes, scratches around the eye etc
4) "mild discomfort" does not mean 3 narcotic pain pills wont even touch the pain and your throwing up you hurt so bad
5) they "over corrected" one eye to the point I am now near sighted in one eye and far sighted in the other. This means no driving, stairs suck big time and most reading, TV, computer stuff is very short time as I get nausious as hell from my brain trying to figure out whats going on.
6) still hurting like a MF

and I PAID someone to do this to me

if you want Lasik-dont for any reason go to Dr Baldinger in Vienna Va and if you have small eyes think real damn hard about them fighting to get all that equipment in such a space. There are no words I could use. I rate the pain right up there with kidney stones and spinal taps

If you haven't already, go see a new doctor immediately. Find out exactly what went wrong and how they can fix it. You need to see a specialist and get the pain taken care of as well as making sure that they can ensure that your eyesight will be ok in the future.

That sounds like a horrid experience, and I can't imagine how you managed to stay still through it :(

I don't know how much you paid, but my own regular eye doctor, while I was considering LASIK, told me to be very careful choosing because he described your exact experience being typical of patients who look for the "$399 per eye" deal or some such. Quality LASIK by qualified surgeons will cost a couple of thousand per eye.

Thats very strange. If he's that qualified, he should have anticipated the difficulties on your eyes and refused to do it. Sounds like you did your own research as well.

I hope it gets better. The over-correction might improve as it heals. They often intentionally over-correct, because you get some regression as it heals. My eyesight took about a month to be normal.

Generally, your doctor doesn't sound very good. Sorry to hear it went like that. :(

Sorry that sounds horrible!

You make me very glad that I went to the doctor that I was very good and really cared. Mine was expressing concern that my partner wasn't there! Its a pity you didn't consider coming down to Atlanta, my doctor was awesome.

Oh no! I'm so sorry! Yes, what everyone else said. See a specialist, warn your friends, over-correction is normal as the eye tends to regress (but this seems a little excessive), etc. I hope everything evens out.

This story is so unsettling and worrisome, especially since your doctor had come recommended and done work on other people you knew :(. I'm so, so sorry. I hope things improve for you quickly.
